Many Pakistani families in the Gulf and beyond keep their children on the Federal Board (FBISE) syllabus. Some study at Pakistani community schools abroad. Others plan to return to Pakistan for college or medical and engineering entry tests. Either way, finding a tutor nearby who knows the FBISE textbooks, paper pattern and marking style is not easy.
GetTutor.pk connects overseas students with Pakistani tutors for live, one-to-one online classes aligned with the Federal Board syllabus, from Class 9 to Class 12.
Our offer: 1 free trial class per subject, then paid classes.

Why a Federal Board specialist matters
FBISE exams have their own style. A tutor who knows the board can help in ways a general tutor may not:
- Textbook alignment. Lessons follow the textbooks and syllabus your school uses for FBISE.
- Paper pattern. Students practise the MCQ, short-question and long-question sections the way they appear in the paper.
- Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs). FBISE question papers are built on SLOs. Tutors help students understand what each SLO is asking rather than memorising answers.
- Past papers and model papers. Regular practice with past and model papers builds speed and confidence.
How it works
- Share your details. Use our contact page to tell us the class, group, subjects, country and preferred timings.
- We match a tutor. We look for a Pakistani tutor with Federal Board experience whose availability fits your time zone.
- 1 free trial class per subject. Your child meets the tutor and works through a real topic.
- Continue with paid classes. If it is a good fit, you agree a weekly schedule and continue with paid classes. Fees are shared when you enquire.
More detail is on our how it works page.
Time zones: classes that fit the Gulf school day
Pakistan is close to the Gulf in time, which makes after-school classes easy to arrange.
| Country | Difference from Pakistan (PKT) | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| UAE, Oman | PKT is 1 hour ahead | A 6 pm class in Pakistan is 5 pm in Dubai |
| Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain | PKT is 2 hours ahead | A 6 pm class in Pakistan is 4 pm in Riyadh or Doha |
| UK | PKT is 4–5 hours ahead | Ask us about timings |
Exact slots depend on tutor availability.
What a typical online class looks like
- Warm-up (5 minutes): quick recall of the last lesson.
- Concept teaching: the tutor explains the topic with examples.
- Practice: the student solves textbook exercises and past-paper questions while the tutor watches and corrects.
- Homework: a short task to complete before the next class.
Parents can ask the tutor about progress and weak areas.
Tips for overseas FBISE students
- Follow the Pakistani exam calendar, not the local one. Check the official FBISE date sheet and plan revision backwards from the exam date.
- Keep the right textbooks. Make sure you have the edition your school and FBISE currently use.
- Practise in English and Urdu where needed. Urdu and Islamiat or Pakistan Studies can be harder for students raised abroad. A tutor can help with writing answers in the expected style.
- Start entry-test preparation early. If your child wants medicine or engineering in Pakistan, plan around MDCAT or ECAT from Class 11.
- Check board rules yourself. Rules on registration, migration and exam centres for overseas candidates can change. Always confirm with FBISE directly.
Also studying Cambridge or other boards?
Some families switch between FBISE and Cambridge when they move. We also help with Cambridge O Level, and with IELTS and SAT preparation for university applications. Younger children abroad can join our online Urdu classes for kids. See all subjects on our online tuition page, including our online math tutor page.
