Terms and Conditions for GetTutor.pk

Welcome to GetTutor.pk (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and services. By accessing or using GetTutor.pk, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

1. Definitions

  • “Tutor” – An educator registered on GetTutor.pk to provide tutoring services.

  • “Student/Parent” – A user seeking tutoring services.

  • “Services” – Home tutoring, online tutoring, and related educational support.

  • “Platform” – The GetTutor.pk website and associated services.

2. Eligibility & Registration

  • Users must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent.

  • Tutors must provide valid credentials (academic certificates, ID, etc.).

  • Providing false information may result in account suspension.

3. Tutor-Student Agreement

  • GetTutor.pk acts as an intermediary—tutors are independent contractors, not employees.

  • Payment and scheduling are agreed upon directly between tutor and student/parent.

  • We do not guarantee grades or academic outcomes.

4. Fees & Payments

  • Tutors set their own rates, subject to platform service fees (if applicable).

  • Payments may be made via bank transfer, JazzCash, EasyPaisa, or credit card.

  • Refunds are handled case-by-case (see Refund Policy).

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • 24-hour notice required for cancellations (unless emergency).

  • No-shows may incur charges (as per tutor’s policy).

6. Code of Conduct

For Tutors:

  • Must provide qualified, professional tutoring.

  • No discriminatory behavior or inappropriate conduct.

  • Sessions must be punctual and prepared.

For Students/Parents:

  • Respect tutors’ time and expertise.

  • No harassment, fraud, or misuse of the platform.

7. Privacy & Data Security

  • Personal data is handled per our Privacy Policy.

  • Tutors/students should not share personal contact details until a booking is confirmed.

8. Intellectual Property

  • GetTutor.pk owns all website content (logos, text, design).

  • Tutors retain rights to their teaching materials but grant us limited use for promotion.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not liable for:

    • Disputes between tutors and students.

    • Technical issues beyond our control.

    • Any indirect damages (e.g., lost grades, opportunities).

10. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

  • Users may delete accounts anytime via dashboard.

11. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these Terms; users will be notified via email or website notice.

12. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by Pakistani law.

  • Disputes shall be resolved in Karachi/Lahore/Islamabad courts (as applicable).
