FSc is where many students in Pakistan feel the jump for the first time. The books get thicker, the numericals get longer, and FSc marks count towards many medical and engineering admissions along with the entry tests. GetTutor.pk helps students find a home tutor or an online tutor for FSc Pre-Medical, FSc Pre-Engineering, ICS and other Intermediate groups, for any board in Pakistan and for Federal Board students abroad.
1 free trial class per subject, then paid classes.
What FSc tuition should actually do
A good FSc tutor does not simply read the textbook aloud. The tutor should:
- Rebuild the concept first. Many FSc problems in Physics and Maths go back to a Matric concept that was never fully clear. The tutor finds that gap and fixes it.
- Teach the working, not just the answer. Numericals in Physics and Chemistry and long questions in Maths carry marks for each step. Students need to practise writing the full method.
- Follow your board’s paper pattern. Each board sets its own papers. Practise the question types your board uses, from MCQs to short and long questions.
- Keep a revision cycle. FSc has a lot of content. Regular short tests on old chapters stop the student from forgetting the first half of the book by exam time.
- Connect to the next step. For Pre-Medical students, FSc Biology, Chemistry and Physics overlap heavily with MDCAT. For Pre-Engineering students, Maths and Physics carry into engineering entry tests.
1st year and 2nd year: different priorities
FSc Part 1 (Class 11)
The first year is about foundations. Physics starts with vectors, motion and forces, Chemistry builds up basic concepts and atomic structure, and Maths moves into functions, matrices and trigonometry. Students who settle into a steady routine in 1st year find 2nd year far easier. This is the right time to start tuition, not a month before the papers.
FSc Part 2 (Class 12)
The second year adds new topics such as calculus, electricity and magnetism, and organic chemistry, while students also prepare for entry tests. Time management matters most here. A tutor can help plan the year so that board preparation and entry-test preparation support each other instead of competing.
Groups and subjects
| Group | Main subjects a tutor can help with |
|---|---|
| FSc Pre-Medical | Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, Urdu |
| FSc Pre-Engineering | Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Urdu |
| ICS | Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Statistics, English |
| Other groups | Tell us the group and subjects and we will tell you honestly what we can arrange |
Compulsory subjects such as English, Urdu, Islamiat and Pakistan Studies also count towards the total, and students often leave them too late. A short weekly class can keep them under control.
Subject pages: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and English.
Your board, your textbook
FSc students in Pakistan sit their papers with a provincial board such as BISE Lahore, BISE Rawalpindi, BISE Gujranwala, BISE Faisalabad, BISE Multan, BISE Peshawar or BISE Abbottabad, or with the Federal Board (FBISE). Students in Karachi and Sindh study under their own Intermediate boards. Textbooks, chapter order and paper patterns are not the same everywhere. When you enquire, tell us your board and share the textbook name, so the tutor prepares for the right paper. Federal Board students living abroad can also read our page on FBISE online tuition for overseas students.
Home tuition or online FSc tuition?
| Home tuition | Online tuition |
|---|---|
| Tutor comes to your home | Live 1-on-1 online classes from home |
| Good for students who need close supervision | Saves travel time, which matters in a busy FSc year |
| Depends on tutor availability in your area | Wider choice of tutors across Pakistan |
Both start with 1 free trial class per subject, then paid classes. For home tuition, see our city pages such as Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Peshawar and Abbottabad. For online classes, see online tuition with Pakistani tutors. Families who prefer a woman teacher can read about asking for a female home tutor, and all home tuition options are on tutoring services in Pakistan.
FSc and entry tests
FSc and entry-test preparation overlap, but they are not the same. Board papers reward complete written answers. Entry tests reward speed and accuracy in MCQs. A sensible plan is to build concepts through FSc first, then add timed MCQ practice in the second half of 2nd year. If you are a Pre-Medical student, read our MDCAT preparation page. If you are still in Class 9 or 10, our Matric tuition guide explains how to build a strong base before FSc.
A simple weekly plan with a tutor
- New topic. The tutor explains one topic and works through a few examples together with the student.
- Practice. The student solves exercise questions and numericals alone, then the tutor checks the working.
- Short test. A quick written test on the week’s topic, marked the way the board marks.
- Revision slot. Ten to fifteen minutes on an older chapter, so nothing is forgotten.
- Past-paper style questions. In the last months, more time goes to full papers under time limits.
Signs a student may need an FSc tutor
- Marks dropped sharply after Matric.
- The student copies numerical solutions without understanding them.
- Homework takes hours and is still not finished.
- The student avoids one subject completely.
- Entry-test preparation is pushing board work aside.
How to start
- Send your request. Use our contact page or WhatsApp to share the class (1st or 2nd year), group, board, subjects, city or online preference, and timings.
- We look for a suitable tutor. We consider the subject, the board and your timing.
- Take 1 free trial class per subject. See how the tutor explains before you decide.
- Continue with paid classes. If the tutor is not the right fit, tell us and we can look again.

Frequently asked questions
1. Can I get a tutor for only one FSc subject? Yes. Many students take tuition only for Physics, Chemistry or Maths. Each subject has its own free trial class.
2. Do you have tutors for FSc Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering? You can ask for a tutor for either group, and for ICS. Tell us the group and subjects when you enquire.
3. Which boards do you cover? You can ask for a tutor for your provincial board or the Federal Board. Share the board and textbook so the tutor prepares for the right paper.
4. Is FSc tuition available online? Yes. Live 1-on-1 online classes are available for students anywhere in Pakistan and abroad.
5. Is the first class free? Yes. Our offer is 1 free trial class per subject, then paid classes.
6. When should FSc tuition start? Ideally at the start of 1st year, so concepts are built before the workload grows. Starting later still helps, but leaves less time for revision.
7. Can I ask for a female or male tutor? Yes. Mention your preference when you enquire, and we try to match it based on availability. See our female home tutor page for more.
8. Can the tutor also help with MDCAT? FSc and MDCAT overlap. Tell us if you need entry-test help too, and see our MDCAT preparation page.
